NEI Systems’ custom coiled cords are manufactured
to meet our OEM customers’ specific needs. When asked
to produce a retractile cord with an extremely high-flex life
and a very low-extension force, we designed a cord with a
tinsel conductor (flat-rolled copper ribbon wound around a
textile thread) and a polyurethane jacket. The result is a
coiled cord with the feel and performance characteristics
that our customer was seeking. It provides a flex life that
exceeds 500,000 cycle bends, and has excellent retractile
memory and abrasion resistance. Add custom colors, mix in
NEI Systems ingenuity, and you have a coiled cord with “attitude.”
